What we collect

- Account details: your login details and preferences if you open an account, a credit account or a Secure Buying Wardrobe.
- Payment details: card payments are handled by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Messages: emails, calls, WhatsApp and web form messages you send us.
- Website use: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you arrived, collected through cookies and similar tools (see Cookies below).
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To quote for, supply, decorate and deliver your order, and to handle returns: needed to perform our contract with you, or to take steps at your request before one.
- To run your account, take payment and keep business and tax records: contract and legal obligation.
- To answer your questions and give customer service: our legitimate interest in helping customers.
- To keep the website secure, prevent fraud and improve the site: legitimate interest.
- To send you news and offers about our products: as a business contact, we may email you about similar products on the basis of legitimate interest. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. Where the law requires consent, we will ask for it first.
- Analytics and marketing cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run our business, with:
- our e-commerce platform and website hosting providers;
- payment providers, to take card payments securely;
- garment suppliers, decorators and couriers, so your order can be made and delivered;
- our accountants, IT and email service providers;
- analytics and business-insight providers (see Cookies below);
- regulators, law enforcement or our professional advisers where the law requires it.
Our providers act on our instructions and must keep your information secure. Some are based outside the UK. Where information is transferred abroad, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies make the site work, for example your basket and login. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics) to understand how the site is used, and business-insight tools that can identify the company, not the person, visiting from a business network. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies in the cookie banner, change your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page, or block cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
- Order, invoice and account records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.
- Quotes that do not lead to an order: up to 2 years.
- Logos and artwork: while you are a customer, so repeat orders are quick, and deleted on request.
- Marketing preferences: until you opt out, then we keep a record of your opt-out so we do not contact you again.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it (including for marketing), to have it transferred to you or another organisation, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email sales@workwear-direct.com. We will reply within one month. There is normally no charge.
Keeping your information safe
We use secure, access-controlled systems, encrypted connections on our website and checkout, and only give staff and suppliers the information they need to do their job.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
